公司招募了大量应届本科和研究生毕业的新员工，平均年龄25岁。那个新的助理，是经过多次面试后，我亲自招聘回来的女孩。她名牌大学本科毕业，聪明、性格活泼。我得承认，我招她的一个很重要的原因，还因为她写了一手漂亮的字。那女孩能写一手好字的不多，尤其像她，看起来长发飘飘，多么女性化的一个姑娘，一手字却写得铿锵倜傥，让我对她多了很多好感。

我开始慢慢地给她一些协调的工作，让她尝试着去处理各种业务联系和沟通。起初，她经常出错。她很紧张，每次来找我谈。我告诉她：“错了没关系，你且放心按照你的想法去做，只要遇到问题了，就来问我，我会告诉你该怎么办。”然而，她仍然不断出错，又来找我，这次谈的是比较深入。她们困惑的是，他们总觉得自己能力不仅仅能做这些琐碎的事情，还能做一些更加重要的事情。

那次谈话进行了一小时。我知道，我说的话，她没听进去多少。后来我说，再把手头的工作做好，然后避免常识性错误发生，然后循序渐进罢。

半年以后，她再次找到我，并提出辞职。我推掉了约会，与之谈辞职的问题。问起辞职原因为何，她跟我直言，本科四年功课优秀，却每天处理都是些琐碎的事情，没有成就感。我又问：“你觉得，在你现在所有的工作中，最没有意义最浪费你的时间精力的工作是什么？”她马上答：“帮您贴然后报销然后到财务走流程然后把现金拿回来给您。”

I smiled and asked her, "You've been helping me with these tasks for half a year now. Through this process, have you learned any valuable lessons?" She thought for a moment before answering, "Taping the receipts is just taping the receipts. As long as the financial records are accurate, it's fine."

I nodded in agreement and then shared my own experiences from when I was in a similar position many years ago. I told her that at one point, I was responsible for assisting our CEO with expense reports and other administrative tasks. While these tasks may seem mundane on the surface, they actually played a crucial role in our company's operations.

Over time, I began to realize that there was more to these tasks than met the eye. By carefully tracking and analyzing all of our expenses, we were able to identify patterns and trends that helped us make better business decisions. This experience taught me the importance of attention to detail and how even seemingly insignificant tasks can contribute significantly to overall success.

I encouraged her to adopt a similar mindset towards her current responsibilities. Rather than viewing them as unimportant or beneath her abilities, she should see them as opportunities to learn and grow. By doing so, she would not only improve her skills but also gain valuable insights into how our company operates.

In conclusion, while it may be tempting to dismiss certain jobs or responsibilities as unimportant or trivial early on in your career journey; however remember that every task has its significance within an organization's broader context; even if they don't directly align with your personal goals or aspirations at first glance.

As you navigate through different roles over time; remember that what truly matters most isn't where you work but rather how diligently you approach each job; no matter how menial it might appear.

So do not underestimate yourself by thinking some jobs aren't worth learning from - because trust me those are often where real-life wisdom lies hidden beneath layers of monotony waiting patiently for someone like YOU who sees beyond mere appearances & digs deeper seeking true value within!
