我天生乐观，记得小时候跟别人打架，打到上下排牙齿都掉了，妈妈看到我的模样，心疼地哭了起来，可是我依旧很快乐。妈妈不解地问我为什么？我说：“牙齿都掉了，我从今以后就不用刷牙了。”

从事行销业，我们没有摆臭脸的资格，每天都要笑脸迎人。微笑是会传染的，只要你带着微笑，别人也会对你微笑，气氛就会跟着改变，所以人要尽可能地微笑，把欢乐传给别人。

煮锅绿豆天天吃

我的第一份工作是在福特汽车当会计，工作起来驾轻就熟，可是我做得并不快乐。我宁可多绕点远路，也不要在一个我不喜欢的地方工作一辈子。亲友听说我离职了，都觉得很不可思议，但我认为如果不能找到适才适性的工作，这辈子绝对不会快乐。

科学家会发明东西，艺人会表演唱歌，那是他们的专长，那我的专长是什么？我左思右想，发现我的专长就是福特汽车最不喜欢我的地方——我很爱讲话。

老板常瞪着我说：“Leon，我是雇你来工作，不是来讲话的。你可不可以不要讲话，不要影响别人上班？”

当面试新工作时，我告诉每个老板我喜欢讲话，他们一听都笑了。再问我除了讲话还有没有其他要求？I say I don't like complex administrative work, so I hope to have less administrative work and more time to talk from morning till night, with better benefits. Each boss laughed when they heard this, and one even asked me to repeat it in front of everyone else.

虽然I always look for a job that allows me to talk all day long, but I never compromise on my values until my pockets were empty.

My friends tease me about eating at McDonald's every day and suggest that I cook a big pot of green beans instead. So I bought a big bag of green beans and cooked them for three or four days straight.

Talking until my mouth bleeds

I applied to 300 companies, but each boss thought I was joking. Only the CEO of one securities company took me seriously: “Leon, you really mean that? You want a job where you can talk all day long? A job with almost no administrative tasks? And high pay?” He hugged me tightly and said: “That’s what we need! Why did it take you so long to show up here?”

The next day he told me why he hired me: his task was for me to make 500 phone calls every day. From 6 pm onwards, I would call clients who had invested in our products. The average call lasted only three minutes by the time we reached the 500th call – usually around 2-3 am in the morning. My boss had a recorder; if i didn’t make those calls or made mistakes during them, i couldn’t go home.

Once while making calls late at night (around midnight), someone answered sleepily saying they wanted to come visit us tomorrow morning; thinking they were going to invest heavily into our products (and thus be very detailed about their identity), i gave them all the information - including how many employees there are at our firm (name dropped). Later on when he came over demanding answers after being woken up multiple times by my constant talking through his house window breaking glass - quite scary indeed!

Everyday i'm talking nonstop without stopping sometimes biting tongue bleeding from speaking too much . Many people think hard working business professionals should get raises but then say "you're not talking enough."

Family members ask him not do such strange things anymore.

Returning home after becoming famous on Wall Street , financial giant Li Guodong specially flew over from China looking for him :“Lei Yang,you're doing well in America . But America is very developed , very large ; your contributions here are just icing on the cake.” Hearing these words from Mr.Li,i immediately felt inspired .

Back at office colleagues consider him as an oddball , returning home family members beg him not be so strange again...
