很多人认为自己很努力工作，我会说：“你很努力吗？可是你并没有讲话讲到嘴巴流血呀。”

我天生乐观，记得小时候跟别人打架，打到上下排牙齿都掉了，妈妈看到我的模样，心疼地哭了起来，可是我依旧很快乐。妈妈不解地问我为什么？我说：“牙齿都掉了，我从今以后就不用刷牙了。”

从事行销业，我们没有摆臭脸的资格，每天都要笑脸迎人。微笑是会传染的，只要你带着微笑，别人也会对你微笑，气氛就会跟着改变，所以人要尽可能地微笑，把欢乐传给别人。

煮锅绿豆天天吃

我的第一份工作是在福特汽车当会计，工作起来驾轻就熟，可是我做得并不快乐。我宁可多绕点远路，也不要在一个我不喜欢的地方工作一辈子。亲友听说我离职了，都觉得很不可思议，但我认为如果不能找到适才适性的工作，这辈子绝对不会快乐。

科学家会发明东西，艺人会表演唱歌，那是他们的专长，那我的专长是什么？我左思右想，发现我的专长就是福特汽车最不喜欢我的地方——我很爱讲话。

老板常瞪着我说：“Leon，我是雇你来工作，不是来讲话的。你可不可以不要讲话，不要影响别人上班？”

当面试新工作时，我告诉每个老板我喜欢讲话，他们一听都笑了。再问我除了讲话还有没有其他要求？I say I don't like complex administrative work, so I hope to have less administrative work and more time to talk from morning till night, with better benefits. Each boss laughed when they heard this.

Although I always find it hard to find a job that fits me, I never compromise until my pocket is left with only 27 dollars.

My classmates see me in such a state of poverty and jokingly tell me: "You shouldn't eat at McDonald's anymore; if you keep eating like this, your money will run out quickly." So I went and bought a big bag of green beans and boiled them all day for three or four days.

Lecturing until the mouth bleeds

I applied to 300 companies, but each boss thought I was just joking. Only one CEO of a securities company took my words seriously: "Leon, are you really saying that? You want a job where you can talk all day long? A job with almost no administrative tasks? And one with high pay?" He shook his hand tightly and said excitedly: "That's exactly what we need! Why did it take so long for someone like you to appear?"

The next day he told me why he wanted someone like me. His task for me was simple: call 500 people every day. From 6 pm on every evening till the last phone call around midnight. If I didn't make all 500 calls by dawn the next morning, he wouldn't let me go home. Once during those late-night calls, the person on the other end seemed confused; after telling him who I am and where our office is (www.lz13.cn), he hung up without another word - which turned out later that night as an unexpected visit from him in person when his insomnia got worse!

I kept talking non-stop until my tongue bled many times. Many colleagues thought they were very hardworking when asking for raises; but not as hardworking as lecturing until their mouths bleed!

Family tells me not to be strange

After becoming famous on Wall Street by doing something unique there (like being able to lecture continuously into the wee hours of dawn) , financier Li Guoding flew over from China specifically looking for me because “you're doing well in America,” he said softly while patting my back reassuringly before adding how much more potential China has compared to America – thus making it easier than ever before – i.e., 'a snowflake falling onto hot coal' - 'an act of great achievement'. My decision made sense based on these comments received directly from Li Guoding himself.

When returning home after achieving success abroad once again faced ridicule even within family circles regarding my peculiar actions & decisions taken throughout life history especially towards education path changes upon realizing personal preferences & career choices made against societal expectations & norms set forth by parents' generation experiences leading lives under different social-political-economic circumstances worldwide across generations now spanning decades!
